The golden “SPACIA for Nikko Moude” makes its debut
Updated on: June 11, 2015
The golden “SPACIA for Nikko Moude (SPACIA for Pilgrimage to Nikko)”, one of SPACIA’s limited express trains, began operation on April 18, 2015, and is the only one of its kind in service.
The cars are painted in gold, black, and vermilion, to associate them with the representative architecture of the two elegant temples and shrine in Nikko, which are registered together on the World Heritage List. Each side of the first and sixth cars carries a “Nikko Moude” emblem, on which are the “Nemuri-neko (Sleeping cat)” and “Sanzaru (Three wise monkeys)” of the Nikko Toshogu Shrine, combined with “Nikko Moude”. In addition, the standard seat head covers and the compartments have been changed to suit the golden color theme.
Take the one and only “SPACIA for Nikko Moude”!
