SPACIA's cabins are roomy and designed for a smooth, stable ride. In fact, the train's biggest selling point is, as its name suggests, its roominess. The relaxingly luxurious cabins include private rooms, for an intimate ride. The track itself also features long rails, for less vibration and enhanced comfort.
In 1991, SPACIA railcars were chosen by the Japan Railfan Club as the best in Japan and awarded a blue ribbon. SPACIA continues to be popular with rail fans and many other riders.

Standard Seats
Even SPACIA's standard seats are equipped for luxurious comfort, including a headrest, footrest, and tray table. The decore is a combination of white and blue. The floor carpeting and leg-stretching roominess will make you feel like you are in the luxury section. All seats are non-smoking, for a clean, comfortable journey.
Snack Bar
SPACIA's snack bar offers a wide range of drinks, sweets, snacks, and even hot food, such as french fries and yakisoba (fried buckwheat noodles). You can also buy original sourvenirs to serve as mementos of your trip.
Attentive Amenities
SPACIA's amenities are designed to make your journey as pleasant as possible. This includes both Western and Japanese-style restroom facilities and sinks in the sanitary room. The Japanese restrooms contain a fold-out diaper-changing station. On the aisles are beverage vending machines and public telephones. The spacious seats and aisles provide ample storage space for your luggage and makes it possible to move around easily in the train.
