Nikko Toshogu Shrine
This spectacular shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, who became the first shogun of the Edo period in 1617. It is famous for its statues of three monkeys that see, hear, and speak no evil.

Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple
Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple comprises halls, pagodas, and 15 branch temples. It originated in a temple built by Shodo Shonin when he introduced Buddhism to Nikko more than 1250 years ago.

Nikko Futarasan Shrine
This ancient shrine marked the start of mountain worship in the Nikko area. It is dedicated to the spirit of Mount Nantai (also called Futarasan), and has drawn worshippers from ancient times.

British Embassy Villa Memorial Park
The building in the park was originally constructed in the 29th year of the Meiji era (1896) as a villa for use by Sir Ernest Satow, a British diplomat who had an immense influence on the Meiji Restoration. It was restored to its condition during subsequent use as the British Embassy Villa for many years.

Kegon Falls

Tobu World Square
Taking protection of the world's heritage and architectural culture as its mission, this theme park is a miniature world featuring meticulous reproductions of famous buildings on a scale of 1/25. Visitors marvel at the displays, whose use of actual miniature trees and other touches evidence the particularity of those making the reproductions.

Kimono Rental - Utakata Nikko
Utakata Nikko rents gorgeous kimonos. Their wearers are bound to look stunning in photos taken against the background of the lovely scenery in the area, which contains many shrines and temples.

Katayama Shuzo
This Japanese sake brewery was founded way back in the 13th year of the Meiji
era (1880). Made with attention to the finest details, its sake has many loyal customers not only in
Japan but also in other countries.

Lake Chuzenji Sightseeing Cruise
Take a cruise on a sightseeing boat on Lake Chuzenji. You can see all of the noted sights along the coast of the lake from the boat.

EDO WONDERLAND
This theme park gives visitors a taste of life in Japan as it was in the
medieval Edo period. You can encounter samurai and ninja!
You can actually put on a kimono yourself and walk around the theme park in it.

Nikko Kujira Shokudo
This café serves lunches in creative styles. One especially popular item on its menu is Japanese-style spaghetti carbonara made with Nikko "yuba" (soy milk skin). Its fastidious chefs also use local ingredients in preparing its other dishes.

Soba Restaurant Uoyou
This restaurant is particular about making its soba (buckwheat) noodles by
hand, right from the flour of "gensoba" (buckwheat containing stalks and seeds) grown in Nikko.
A walk of only about 12 minutes from Tobu Nikko Station.

Nantai
This restaurant is located near Kegon Falls in Oku-Nikko and serves set
meals.
Nantai uses only the choicest ingredients produced in the Nikko area. Experiece the flavor of
"himemasu" (a kind of salmon) caught in nearby Lake Chuzenji.

NIKKO PASS
A discount pass sold by Tobu Railway
A discount pass for a round-trip fare from Tobu Asakusa Station to Tobu Nikko Station, plus free
rides on buses in the city of Nikko for as long as the pass is valid.
You can also take free rides
on the train to Tobu World Square and the Kinugawa Onsen area for as long as the pass is valid.
*There is a separate charge for rides on the limited express train.
You can
receive a 20% discount on the price of a limited express ticket, as well as discount service at
specified stores, restaurants, and facilities.
There are two types of NIKKO PASS.
NIKKO PASS all area (can be used for 4 days)
Free rides on the bus from the city of Nikko to the Oku-Nikko area for as long as the pass is
valid.
Free rides on the sightseeing boat on Lake Chuzenji, the Akechidaira Ropeway, and the
Edo Wonderland shuttle bus in the Kinugawa Onsen area, for as long as the pass is valid.
