Take a springtime walk in the city of Kawagoe, “Little Edo”
Thirty minutes away by train from Ikebukuro Station in central Tokyo is a district
that still has streets lined with medieval warehouses. It is in the city of Kawagoe, which is called
“Little Edo” because it retains the atmosphere of the old shogunate capital.
We recommend
visitors to tour Kawagoe in a kimono, by walking the streets while eating local treats. Enjoy
Kawagoe in spring to your heart’s content!
