About 170 cherry trees are planted on the banks.
These cherry trees are of various types,
including Kawazu, which blooms early, and Somei-Yoshino. The period for admiring the blossoms is
therefore longer overall.

Kawagoe Daishi Kitain
Kitain Temple has beautiful scenery that changes with the season. In spring, visitors admire its pretty cherry blossoms.
Board the KO-EDO Loop Bus on the Kitain route at the E5 bus stop and get off at the E14 bus stop.Board the bus at Fukujin Bridge and get off at Honjo-Azuma Bridge or Kototoi Bridge (Toei Bus). From there you can walk to Sumida Park in about 30 minutes. If the weather is fair, it may be a good idea to walk all the way to the Park.

average year.
About 1,000 cherry trees bloom in Gongendo Park, while canola flowers bloom on
the adjacent dike.
