10 am - 4:30 pm (last admission at 4 pm) *May close earlier in the event of natural disasters, such as earthquakes

Every Monday (however, if Monday is a public holiday, the Museum will close on the following day instead)

Admission fees

General visitors

Adults: 200 yen＜Transportation IC card＞
210 yen＜Cash＞

Children: 100 yen (from 4 years of age to junior high school students)
*Holders of a physical disability certificate plus 2 accompanying companions may enter for half price

Group visitors

Adults: 100 yen

Children: 50 yen (from 3 years of age to junior high school students)
*Group discount available for groups of 20 persons or more (including supervising adults and children)

Group admission requirements are subject to change without notice.

How to apply

Reservations for group visits are accepted no earlier than 6 months before the intended date of the visit.

Please note

・Reservations for group visits are taken no more than six months prior to visit.
・The Museum can get very crowded during the spring, summer, and winter holiday periods and when events are scheduled. Please book in advance.
・Please be aware that in some cases, special operation of the Steam locomotive show may be subject to cancelation. We ask for your understanding.

  • For group use, please consult with us at time of reservation. Has capacity for a medium-sized bus (up to 9 meters in length).
For schools and other groups
Please be aware of the following before your visit. When leading groups around the Museum, group supervisors should look out for any of the following behavior.
・Please do not run or make loud noises in the Museum.
・Please treat the exhibits with care.
・Please do not play on or climb on exhibits.
・Please do not play or run on stairs and ramps, as this is dangerous.
・When taking group photographs, please try not to inconvenience the other visitors.
