THOUGHTS

Nikko Nature Guide Council

We are organized by a guide group based in Nikko City.
A wide range of activities are carried out, including hiking, mountain climbing, nature observation, kayaking, rafting,
It's a collection of things you can enjoy in Nikko, such as trail running, fishing, and ice climbing.
In addition to holding study sessions to improve our skills, we are also actively involved in preserving the natural environment and revitalizing local communities.

Environment and current situation surrounding the Nature Guide Council

Nikko has a wonderful natural environment, including mountains such as Mt. Nantai and lakes such as Lake Chuzenji. However, few people know that Nikko offers a wide variety of activities. Guides acquire knowledge and skills on a daily basis, but what is equally important is that they have many opportunities to practice in front of customers. We would like as many people as possible to learn about the wonders of Nikko's nature and activities, and to participate in our tours.

Message to passengers

We hope that the member organizations and affiliated guides of the Nikko Nature Guide Association can help as many people as possible experience and enjoy Nikko's wonderful nature and history from various perspectives.
All of our guides are looking forward to making your trip to Nikko and Kinugawa a wonderful one.

Thoughts on this project and a message to passengers

In spring, you can go trekking while looking at flowers and fresh greenery, and try fishing. In summer, we recommend exhilarating water activities such as rafting. In autumn, you can enjoy hiking and trekking while watching the autumn leaves. In winter, in addition to powder snow, you can also enjoy cross-country skiing that takes advantage of the terrain.

Tochigi Prefecture Interpreter Guide Association

We are a guide organization made up of members who are certified as interpreter-guides and registered with Tochigi Prefecture in 2008.
We exchange information and train with each other, practice presentations and question-and-answer sessions in English to maintain our language skills, and above all, we work hard every day to become more attractive as guides.

Environment and current situation surrounding Tochigi Prefecture Interpreter Guide Association

Although there was a three-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the number of inbound customers is rapidly increasing.
However, unlike in the days when the connection between customers and guides was only through travel agencies, the rapid growth in individual travel has led to an increase in demand directly from customers, but there is no point of contact with the guides on the supply side. is.

Recommended guide service “Shrines and temples in Nikko”

Generally speaking, we will guide you to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Sanbutsudo Hall, Futarasan Shrine, Gengmangafuchi, and Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park.
Oku-Nikko is so full of charm that one day is not enough to explore it. Would you like to join us as an English-speaking guide as we walk through Nikko's shrines, temples, imperial residences, and abyss?

Thoughts of Nikko Coffee

"The continuation of the history of Nikko, loved by many cultural figures, begins here..."
Numerous craftsmen from all over the country were brought together to build the World Heritage Site, Nikko Shrines and Temples, creating masterpieces that remain today.
The culture of manufacturing has spread in various forms and is deeply rooted in the region.
Throughout its history, Nikko Coffee has sought out high-quality products and services, communicated and created local culture through the cafe space, and worked to form a new community for visitors and the local area.

Environment and current situation surrounding Nikko Coffee

Thanks to you, we have many customers visiting the Nikko area not only from Japan but from all over the world. However, when looking at the region as a whole, there are various issues such as overtourism surrounding tourist destinations and a shortage of human resources due to the declining birthrate and aging population.
Considering the future sustainability of the region, we would like to use the power of the community to carry out problem-solving projects together with local people in this global era.
