Matsumoto Shoyu Shoten is a soy sauce shop with a history of more than 250 years, dating back to 1764 in the Edo Period. This shop offers a variety of products, including carefully-produced soy sauce and soy sauce-based dressing. Their soy sauce factory has been given a special designation from the City of Kawagoe as one of its important cityscape buildings. They are currently offering tours at the factory that allow visitors to sense the tradition of shoyu production first hand. Please stop by when you visit Kawagoe.
