Tokaen Wisteria Garden is located in Kasukabe City in Saitama. It has giant wisteria roots, which are nationally designated as a natural monument, and is affectionately known by the nickname Ushijima no Fuji.
The trees are quite old and said to have been around for 1,200 years, and the length of the flower clusters goes on for as long as 2 meters! The sight of the thickly growing wisteria flowers with their vivid purple colors is truly impressive!
The Tokaen Wisteria Garden is open from April 12 to May 4. Don’t miss this chance to see Japan’s best Wisteria Trellis flowers, in this garden which is only open for 3 weeks of the year!
