At Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park, there is a weeping cherry tree that is around 400 years old.
The best time to see these cherry blossoms, which beautifully color the park grounds, is between mid to late April every year! The inside of the residence, not usually open to the public, is also partially open for a limited time!
The scenery with weeping cherry tree that can be seen from the round window of the Imperial School is truly impressive, and is said to be a famous spot for viewing cherry blossoms.
An excellent place to visit during your Nikko trip.
