Tokyo Skytree Town® will hold its Carp Streamer Festival 2025 from April 11 to May 6!
Japan has a tradition of raising decorations of fish called carp to coincide with Children’s Day on May 5.
As carp can energetically swim even in rivers with fast currents, these decorations have that image in mind and are imbued with the desire for children to grow up healthy and happy.
Around 1,500 carp streamers will be raised throughout Tokyo Skytree Town, and the sight of them swimming through the blue sky is truly impressive!
In addition, various events and workshops will be held that weekend. Definitely worth a visit for those who are in the area!
