Gongendo Park is located in Satte City in Saitama. This famous spot is known for its rows of cherry blossom trees, but in early summer you can see over 10,000 hydrangea flowers of around 100 varieties beautifully blooming and charming visitors. In particular, the slopes with lovely white Annabelle hydrangea flowers planted look completely like a snowfield when they are in bloom – and this expansive scenery is truly magical. At the Hydrangea Festival, held every year from early to late June, local souvenirs and freshly baked bread are sold at Toge no Chaya located within the park. It’s an excellent place to take a breather from your strolls through the park.
