From mid-to-late June, colorful hydrangea flowers beautifully bloom along the promenades and in the flower beds of Sumida Park. In particular, the “Sumida Firework,” a kind of lacecap hydrangea, features a unique appearance that looks like a firework shooting up. Enjoy the healing scenery created by the flow of the Sumida River and the colors of the hydrangea flowers, while thinking of the Sumida River Fireworks Festival a little early. Visitors can enjoy a quiet stroll here during Japan’s rainy season.
