Irohazaka Winding Road is a representative autumn leaves spot in Nikko. It is a mountain path that stretches from Nikko Toshogu Shrine to Lake Chuzenji. This sloping path was named after the 48 characters of the Japanese alphabet, as it has 48 consecutive sharp curves. In autumn, trees on both sides turn red and yellow, charming visitors who travel by car or on foot. Irohazaka looks the most beautiful when viewed from the sky above. Seeing it on the helicopters that can cruise over various places in Nikko is recommended.
