Utsunomiya Station East Park is in central Utsunomiya, but is a popular spot for visitors to feel the autumn atmosphere as they please. Around 60 ginkgo trees are planted in the park. They turn beautiful yellow colors from early to mid-November every year, creating an around 170-meter tunnel of ginkgo trees that you can walk through. The park is located an around 15-minute walk from Utsunomiya Station. In addition, you can use the Utsunomiya Light Rail (LRT) - which started operations in 2023 as the first streetcar in Japan in 75 years - to go to Eki-Higashi Koen-mae Station and take a convenient 3-minute walk to get to the park. This spot lets you enjoy autumn leaves while experiencing a new transport method.
