Kegon Falls

  • Nikko / Kinugawa Onsen / Aizu

Kegon Falls is one of the three great waterfalls of Japan – where water dynamically flows down into the around 97m high waterfall basin. In autumn, it’s known as a scenic spot where fallen leaves are spread out in the surrounding forest. The best time to see the fallen leaves every year is from mid-October to early November. The contrast between the intense flow of the falls and the trees colored red and yellow is truly impressive. A paid elevator takes visitors to the waterfall deck and enjoy the impressive view near the falls.
