The Yunishigawa Hot Spring is located in a mountainous area of snowy Nikko City in Tochigi. The Yunishigawa Hot spring Kamakura Festival is held here in winter. Hundreds of small snow houses (“kamakura”) line the snow-covered riverside, with the candles giving off a magical light. Visit this hot spring town and you can also experience Yukimi Hot Spring(snow-viewing hot springs), which lets you take a dip in hot water among the snowy scenery and rising steam. The Yunishigawa Hot Spring Kamakura Festival will be held from January 30 2026 (Fri.) to March 1 2026 (Sun.). Yunishigawa-Onsen Station can be reached at around 2 ½ hours from Asakusa on the Tobu Railway Limited Express. You can get there without transferring. A highly recommended hot spring trip.
