Kegon falls in the winter offers expansive scenery that lets you truly feel the power of nature - including water flowing down a 97 meter drop while being surrounded by snow and ice. Snow is piled up around the waterfall, and you can see the instant that the frozen spray changes like ice art in the cold.
Access is relatively good, at an around 50 minute ride on the Tobu Nikko Station bus and a 5 minute walk from the Chuzenji Onsen Stop.
