Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley) is located in Kawagoe in Saitama. It’s a popular spot for a stroll with a Showa Era-style atmosphere, and around 20-30 sweets shops and handmade candy stores lining the cobblestone alley. This area thrived as a town for sweets since the start of the Meiji Era, and it is said that during the early Showa Period in the 20th century, over 70 sweet shops lined the streets. Along with the atmospheric townscape, this area is perfect for strolling and eating and walking with family and friends.
