Ouchijuku is a famous post station town from the good old days of the Edo Era in Fukushima. In winter, visitors can experience the Ouchijuku Snow Festival, covered in magical snow-covered scenery. In the around 450 meter townscape lined with traditional kominka houses with thatched rooves, you can find locals’ handmade snow lanterns lined up, with candles warmly lighting the snow and old townscape at night. The festival is held every February on the 2nd Saturday and Sunday. In 2026 the festival falls on February 14 (Sat.) and 15 (Sun.) Enjoy magical nighttime snowy scenery.
