Mt. Nantai is located in Nikko, Tochigi. It is a 2,486-meter mountain counted among the famous peaks in Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. Rising on the northern side of Lake Chuzenji, it is known as a symbolic landmark of the Oku-Nikko area. Climbing the mountain is allowed only during a limited season each year, from April 25 to November 11. From the summit, hikers can enjoy sweeping views of Lake Chuzenji and the surrounding mountains. The fresh greenery is beautiful, making it a popular hiking spot where visitors can take in the scenery and nature.
