Ryuzu Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in Oku-Nikko. The waterfall cascades down a total length of approximately 210 meters, with the water winding its way through the rocks; it is said to have been named for its resemblance to a dragon’s head. In early summer, Rhododendron wadanum blooms along the waterfall, and in autumn, vibrant autumn foliage adds color to the scene. It is one of Oku-Nikko’s premier scenic spots, where visitors can enjoy both the powerful flow of the water and the changing natural beauty of the four seasons.
