Tokoname is located along the Kirifuri River in Nikko.
As the river bottom of Tokoname is a monolith, it is very smooth with very little sand or rugged stones which are generally found in rivers. That is why Tokoname is also called a natural water slide.
The water there is clear and very clean.
It takes about 15 minutes by taxi from Tobu Nikko Station.
Please note that there are no toilets, dressing rooms, or trash cans in this untouched spot in nature.
