Katayama Shuzo in Nikko is an old-established sake brewery which was established in the 1880s.
For years, many people have loved their sake (Japanese alcohol), which is slowly and carefully made with the traditional “Sase method” using a renowned spring water of Nikko and carefully selected rice.
You can tour the brewery for free during their normal business hours.
*Currently, the tour is cancelled to prevent infection with COVID-19.
In addition to sake, they also sell cakes made from sake.
