Walk around Kawagoe and enjoy its historic townscape

  • Ikebukuro / Kawagoe

Kawagoe is a popular sightseeing spot that has easy access from Tokyo. This town is called "Koedo (little Edo)" because it still retains the atmosphere of an old castle town. You can experience the magical feeling of going back in time at its candy alley, lined with old-fashioned sweets and cake shops. There are also popular shrines and temples that are representative of Kawagoe, such as Hikawa-jinja Shrine and Kita-in Temple. The scenery is also wonderful when the trees start to change color and turn red in the fall. When you go to Kawagoe, it is convenient and reasonable to use "KAWAGOE PASS".
