Meiji-No-Yakata is near to Nikko's famous sightseeing spot Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The building of the restaurant is designated as a tangible cultural property. The exterior with its masonry architecture is very attractive. Their menu includes a wide variety of dishes, such as their renowned "Rice Omelet" using soft egg on top of ketchup-flavored rice. Its sophisticated taste cannot be duplicated at home. For sweets, we recommend "Nirvana" made with Danish cream cheese. It is a cheesecake which has been loved for many years since they opened. Their location is very convenient when sightseeing in Nikko. Please stop by Meiji-No-Yakata.
