YAGAN TETSUDO RAILWAY

Yagan Tetsudo is a mountain railway connecting Shin-Fujiwara Station and Aizukogen-Ozeguchi Station.
The area’s vast wildness and seasonal beauty welcome all visitors.

Ryuokyo Station
Ryuokyo station is just by "Ryuokyo", which is well known for its fantastically-shaped rocks that contribute to the magnificent beauty of the valley.
The volcanic rocks were formed from the eruption of submarine volcanic activity about 22 million years ago, and have been eroded by the flow of Kinugawa and shaped the overwhelming scenery as if a dragon is wriggling through it, as the name suggests. This location is famous for being one of the best scenic spots in the Kinugawa and Kawaji areas, and its fresh green in spring and autumn colors that appear from the end of October to early November attract many tourists.

Yunishigawa-Onsen Station
Yunishigawa-Onsen is located about 30 minutes from Yunishigawa-Onsen station.
It is said the descendent of the defeated Taira family in the Dan no ura battle discovered the area about 400 years ago.

In the annual Yunishigawa-Onsen Kamakura festival that runs from the end of January to early March, many creatively designed snowmen and snow lanterns decorate the streets. The main venue has many small igloos, which are lit in the evening. Please enjoy the mysterious night view designated as "Japan Night View Heritage".

Aizukogen-Ozeguchi Station
This is a gateway station to Oze National Park and ski resorts in Minami aizu.
It is a popular place for hikers around Oze in summer, and for skiers and snowboarders seeking quality powder snow in winter.
The "Oze night train at 23:55" service that runs from spring with its fresh greens into the colorful autumn season, and the "Snow Pal at 23:55“ service that runs during the winter ski season are available to get visitors to the area. These TOBU railway trains leave Asakusa at 23:55 and arrive at Aizukogen-Ozeguchi Station the next morning.
Please enjoy hiking around Oze, and skiing or snowboarding from early morning.
