Tobu Museum

Tobu Museum was built to commemorate the 90th anniversary since the founding of Tobu Railway. Everyone from small children to adults can enjoy exhibitions of real train compartments, simulations, and other attractions and activities.

Twelve real vehicles are on display including Tobu Railway’s first steam engine, electric locomotive, and train.

Steam Engine No. 5, that began operating when Tobu Railway was founded, has been refurbished to re-create its original look of that time, and is on display. The "SL Show" is held four times a day where visitors can see the engine with its wheels turning and whistle blowing.

Three train simulators offer a special experience where visitors can experience operating the train from a real driver's seat, with real views shown on a video screen.

"Watching Promenade" is a popular corner as it can only be experienced under an operating railway station. Visitors can observe trains at very close range and experience their roaring sound and vibration.

The shop in the Tobu Museum sells not only original items, but also products that have been carefully selected by our staff. These items will make ideal souvenirs and memories of your visit to this museum, and can be great gifts for children. Only cash or transportation IC cards are accepted for payment.
