【Kawagoe in early summer with Enmusubi Furin (marriage wind chimes)】

Hikawa-jinja Shrine, located at the end of a street in Koedo Kawagoe, enshrines the god of marriage. At this shrine, you can enjoy the sound of wind chimes in July every year.

In the back of the grounds of the shrine, there is “Furin Kairo (corridor of wind chimes)” decorated with colorful Edo Furin (wind chimes from the Edo period).
It is said that the pure sound of a bell used in a wind chime has the power of purifying and exorcizing evil spirits.
How about walking through the corridor in a yukata (casual summer kimono) and writing your wish on “Negaigoto Tanzaku (a strip of paper or wood to write wishes)” tied under wind chimes?
