【The world authorized Avenue of Cedars, leads to the temples and shrines in Nikko】

Cedar is said to have the longest life among trees in Japan, and therefore has been called “the tree of the god” since the ancient days.
This avenue of cedars, with 12,300 cedar trees with the total length of 37km, beginning immediately from Kami-Imaichi Station in the west, is recommended as a walking course ♪
This avenue of cedars is double-designated as Japan’s “special natural monument” and “special historic site”, and also authorized as “the longest avenue of trees in the world” by the Guinness Book. In spring, you can also enjoy “Cherry Cedar”, cherry blossoms blooming from the cracks of the cedar trees, and “Namiki Hotel”, the unique cedar tree with a huge hollow at the foot of the tree where 4 adults can fit in ♪
